PRAYER FOR JUSTICE RALLY

BELLEVUE DOWNTOWN PARK | SUNDAY, JUNE 28TH | 3PM

#JusticeForBlackLives

As our nation cries out against racial injustice, this is not the time for the Church to be silent.

Today we have come together as churches all across Bellevue to listen, learn, repent, and pray for Black lives.

But now what?

Isaiah 58:6 says, "Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?”

Our hope is that this gathering will not be in vein and our prayers today will lead to both personal and communal repentance and transformation. Now more than ever, we must allow this transformation to lead us into action in support of our Black brothers and sisters.

We believe that the church must rise up for such a time as this and take up the mantle of justice.

Will you join us in taking action today by considering some practical next steps as we seek to loosen and untie the personal and systemic chains of injustice in our hearts, our churches, and our city?

2. Give financially

One of the most basic, but powerful ways we can contribute to fighting racial injustice is by giving financially to Black owned organizations that are already doing the work.

3. Commit to learning and unlearning.
